Middle Tennessee State University 2024
The Patton Foundation recently hosted its PEG (Patton Entrepreneurship Grant) Challenge at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), where six finalists from the New Venture Creation Class pitched their innovative business ideas to a panel of judges.
Briggs Rutter took First Place with Around The Horn, an indoor baseball training facility for young athletes, earning a $5,000 grant. Sophia Attardi won Second Place ($2,500) for Endless Dream, an events company specializing in 17th-century and mystical fantasy gatherings. Raegan Marsee claimed Third Place ($1,000) for Marsee Medical, an air-bubble-removing syringe designed with nurses' input.
The PEG Challenge is part of the Foundation’s broader mission to empower young entrepreneurs, inspire bold ideas, and support the next generation of business leaders.
